Check out the video we sent to Ellen DeGeneres. Really hope she’s feeling (De)Generous for us!
The who: Jeremy Dorn and Kelsey Shea
The what: A 5-month cross-country road trip to determine the best baseball experience in the country.
The where: Starting in St. Louis, MO in the home of the defending champion Cardinals on April 27th, 2012 and ending in Miami, FL in the NEW home of the Marlins on September 30th, 2012.
The when: ALL SEASON LONG!
The why: We love baseball. We like each other a lot. We want to spend a summer on the road together promoting the sport we love, furthering our careers as writers and whipping the MLB fan base into a frenzy.
The plan: What baseball fan doesn’t dream of seeing a game at every stadium in the country? Well, we sure do. And we want to make this trip together. So, our plan is to just hop in the car and drive. We plan on driving 15,000 miles over the course of five months, and stop at each stadium to watch a game. Along the way we’ll be documenting our journey on YouTube, Twitter and Facebook, as well as this website. We want to determine which team has the best overall baseball experience, based on the stadium, the tailgating, the fans and the actual game experience. Will your city, team or stadium take top honors? Only one way to find out…
Right now, the itinerary is as follows:
St. Louis –> Kansas City –> Houston –> Arlington –> Phoenix –> San Diego –> Anaheim –> Los Angeles –> Oakland –> San Francisco –> Seattle –> Denver –> Kansas City (All-Star Game) –> Minneapolis –> Milwaukee –> Detroit –> Chicago –> Toronto –> Cincinnati –> Cleveland –> Pittsburgh –> Cooperstown –> Bronx –> Boston –> Queens –> Philadelphia (plus, a surprise bonus game?!) –> Baltimore –> Washington D.C. –> Tampa Bay –> Atlanta –> Miami
What can you do?
Good question! We spent days upon days upon weeks recruiting sponsors and donors and media members to help us out with this project. This will be a dream trip no matter what, but we don’t want all the preparation and all the writing and podcasting we will be doing on the road to go to waste.
So please follow this blog, like our Facebook page, follow us on Twitter and help us get the word out! If you’re feeling extra generous, you can share this awesome video we made for Ellen DeGeneres on her Facebook or Twitter pages! Don’t forget to subscribe to the YouTube channel after you watch! Lastly, we have an IndieGoGo account for anyone who wants to donate to the cause: http://www.indiegogo.com/seasonticket?a=507059.
Will your team and stadium crack the ten best in America? Let the rivalries begin. Stay tuned, and thanks for following Season Ticket!
